Design refreshes. eCommerce Enterprise is designed from scratch in Figma, so design refreshes are scoped and scheduled with your project manager as part of your agreement rather than on a fixed 2-year cycle.
Platform fees are separate. Your Shopify or BigCommerce subscription, apps, transaction and payment-processing fees, and any other third-party costs are billed by those providers and paid by you. Your plan covers the storefront: design and build, integration with your store, your plan's features, and ongoing support and management.
